Branding, social media, merchandise, and packaging for a concept bossa nova concert for UC Davis students.
I chose to design my project around the genre of bossa nova because I had already worked with my favorite genre of music: hip-hop/rap, so I wanted to challenge myself to pick a genre I listen to that is the complete opposite.
Bossa nova in the United States has a reputation of just being elevator music and is mostly listened to among the older generations. Upon doing some research, I learned of its importance within Brazilian culture which inspired me to create a brand that pulled the genre back to its cultural roots and redefined bossa nova for American youth.
